Block Paving Driveways
Herringbone, stretcher and soldier course borders, laid on a full depth sub-base with edge restraints haunched in concrete so the pattern stays true.

Professional paving installers serving Ipswich, Suffolk and the surrounding areas of East England. Every surface below was laid by Andy, Jon and the team, and photographed on the day it was finished.

Herringbone, stretcher and soldier course borders, laid on a full depth sub-base with edge restraints haunched in concrete so the pattern stays true.

A seamless, smooth surface with no loose stone to kick about. Laid over a prepared base and permeable, so surface water drains through rather than off.

Sandstone, porcelain and natural stone, fully bedded and pointed. Raised beds, steps and water features built in stone to match the house.

A single continuous slab imprinted and coloured to read as stone. No joints for weeds to find, and nothing for the mower to catch.

Retaining walls, garden walls, piers and steps. Curved facing brickwork and brick on edge coping, built to line and level.

Artificial grass, decking, turfing, fencing and planting. The whole garden designed and built by one team, not four different trades.
A&J Fox Paving is a family owned business, and the two men in the name are the two men who turn up. Over 15 years between them on driveways, patios and gardens across Ipswich and Suffolk.
Read the 118 reviews and you will see the same two names again and again. That is not marketing. That is what happens when the owners are the ones laying the blocks.
"Andy and Jon did a fantastic job replacing our decking with a patio! Extremely hard workers with a fantastic finish." Carl Mortimer-Smith, Google review
Every photograph on this page is a job we have finished. No stock images, no showroom shots, no borrowed portfolios.

Almost every sunken, cracked, weed split drive in Suffolk failed for the same reason: somebody saved a day on the dig. What is under the surface is the part you never see and the only part that decides how long it lasts.
Excavated to depth for the ground and the loading, with the spoil carted away rather than raked aside and buried under your new surface.
Type 1 stone laid and whacked in layers, not tipped in one go. This is the layer that carries the car, and the layer the cheap quote skimps on.
Edge restraints haunched in concrete so the outer courses cannot creep, and the water given somewhere to go before a single block is laid.
Blocks laid to pattern, vibrated in and kiln dried sand brushed to the joints. Site cleared, and we walk it with you before we load up.
